Stabilized single-frequency stimulated Brillouin fiber ring laser.

摘要: The detailed behavior of the cw stimulated Brillouin fiber laser has been studied by using a narrow-linewidth pump argon at 5145 A and an 83-m ring cavity. By stabilizing cavity, we achieved stable single-frequency Brillouin-laser output with linewidth determined primarily 100-kHz modulation used in feedback system. Lasing threshold for 4.5-μm-core was observed power 77 mW, maximum 13 mW 320 mW. gain medium shown to exhibit homogeneouslike behavior.
