摘要: Abstract The effect of fatty ester composition on the combustion behavior biodiesel fuel sprays is investigated for soy-based methyl esters, canola-based esters and butyl esters. purpose this study to aid engineering efforts by identifying molecular structure features which can influence compression ignition process during direct utilization in diesel engines. Combustion classified through delays maximum apparent heat release rates measured a rapid machine, these measurements have been taken at low temperatures (676–815 K) reduced oxygen concentrations (12% 18%) corresponding temperature regime advanced Ignition delay show that appearance first from fuels decreasingly sensitive concentration as reaction zone increased. Growth alkoxy chain length one four carbon atoms had minimal delay. For tests 12% oxygen, increased polyunsaturated soy relative canola leads longer delays. This not observed using 18% where physical transport processes are more important. exhibited largest peak values rates, with distinction becoming clear above 750 K. Normalization input energy bases indicates variation among primarily due unique mixing times heating values.
