Blog Classification Using Tags: An Empirical Study

摘要: With an exponential growth of Weblogs (or blogs), many blog directories have appeared to help users locate topical blogs. As tags are commonly used describe blogs, we study the effectiveness in classification. Compared with titles and descriptions, our experiments, using 24,247 showed that could lead better classification accuracy. It is interesting observe more did not necessarily To also proposed a tag expansion algorithm assigns often co-occur those already associated blog. Our experiments helped improve recall price precision degradation.
