摘要: Anthropogenic activities and urbanization frequently spread over areas underlain by unstable karst ground or man-made cavities, leading to potential risk situations for buildings, infrastructure population. The roof of the cavities may rapidly propagate upwards, eventually resulting in progressive settlement and/or sudden collapse. These processes are accelerated triggered various human (e.g., overloading, water recharge, table decline). In this paper, susceptibility instability artificial cavity networks under an urban area Apulia Region, Southern Italy, was assessed evaluated. Here, there is dense network underground quarries excavated extraction massive calcarenite building ornamental stone that currently affected severe problems. Identifying zones most prone great practical importance. Susceptibility models have been developed analyzing statistical relationships between sections with evidence a number predisposing factors mainly related 3D geometry voids, thickness presence overloads. produced discriminant analysis logistic regression approaches were independently quantitatively evaluated through construction ROC curves. Although two characterized different input data treatment, as allows using continuous discrete variables any combination both types even if they do not normal distribution, curves highlighted, methods, satisfactory congruence model results observed data. Consequently, from performance analysis, comparable terms result reliability. methodology should be considered general first-level near surface aimed at identifying critical cave sectors can focus more detailed analyses, especially those associated sensitive zone roads frequent activity.
