摘要: The structure-function-based method (referred to as UCAR-STARS), a technique for estimating mean horizontal winds, variances of three turbulent velocity components and momentum flux was applied the Middle Upper atmosphere Radar (MUR) operating in spaced antenna (SA) profiling mode. is discussed compared with Holloway Doviak (HAD) correlation-function-based technique. Mean winds are estimated STARS HAD techniques; Doppler Beam Swinging (DBS) used reference evaluating SA techniques. Reasonable agreement between DBS techniques found at heights from 5km approximately 11km, where signal-to-noise ratio rather high. produced vertical be fair agreement. They affected by beam-broadening different way than DBS-produced spectral width, much lesser degree. Variances method, strong anisotropy turbulence found. These characteristics cannot methods, which could make UCAR-STARS useful alternative traditional
