摘要: Abstract Rapid shrinkage and dramatic volume loss of the glaciers on Mt. Bogda in eastern Tianshan Mountains have resulted water shortages surrounding arid regions China. Understanding ice thickness its variation is important to analysis changes glacial volume, which are directly related regional hydrology resources. Fan-shaped Diffluence Glacier Heigou No. 8 located northern southern slopes Bogda, respectively. In this paper, spatial distribution these two their area discussed based a 2009 survey result comparison previous investigations. The mean tongue was about 82.3 m calculated 385.2 × 106 m3 2009. It had thinned by 14 ± 8 m (0.30 ± 0.17 m a− 1) from 1962 2009, equivalent an 65.5 ± 37.4 × 106 m3. 58.7 m 115.1 × 106 m3 13 ± 6 m (0.57 ± 0.26 m a− 1) 1986 corresponds 25.5 ± 11.8 × 106 m3. greater thinning retreat than those partially due topographic characteristics. difference can be attributed mainly increase temperature slope slope.
