摘要: Thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF-1) is essential for thyroid differentiation and regulates expression of thyroglobulin, peroxidase, sodium/iodide symporter, thyrotropin receptor (TSH-R) genes. Because (TSH) upregulates these same genes, we hypothesized TSH-R activation might increase TTF-1 that be differentially expressed in benign malignant disease. sub-cellular localization were determined by immunohistochemistry 62 carcinomas, 15 lesions, 2 normal thyroids. Nuclear was detected (77%) lesions (69%), with similar intensity both (1.1+/-0.19 versus 1.0+/-0.10). staining correlated the effective serum TSH level (p = 0.02) patient age < 0.05). 35 papillary carcinomas (PTC), which 23% developed recurrent or persistent disease, absent from 18 PTC, only 6% recurred 0.06). We conclude nuclear correlates activity, increases age, may increased PTC.
