摘要: The rediscovery of the old distinction between automatic and consciously controlled mental processes has been one major developments in attentional theory during last decade. According to “two process” approach (e.g., LaBerge & Samuels, 1974; Neumann, Note 1; Posner Snyder, 1975a; Shiffrin Schneider, 1977), operations can function two different modes. Processes first mode occur as a passive consequence stimulation take place parallel, capacity-free manner, whereas second are by person’s conscious intentions subject capacity limitations. This stimulated wealth research, some which summarized (1981) (1978, 1982). present paper reviews part these recent findings on automaticity an attempt answer questions: First, what functional properties opposed non-automatic processes? Second, kind is suited explain properties?
