摘要: Gyps vultures across India are declining rapidly and the NSAID diclofenac has been shown to be major cause. Vultures scavenge livestock carcasses that have treated with within days preceding death. We present data on disposition in Indian cow goat, field prevalence of carcases environment. In experiment, animals were a single intramuscular injection at 1000 m gk g 1 bw. cow, was detectable liver, kidney intestine up 71 h post-treatment; plasma, half-life 12.2 h. tissue residues undetectable after 26 Prevalence liver from 36 dead collected 13.9%. Data suggest goat short-lived, but available may still very high. 2006 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
