摘要: Granular materials such as sand are crushed and compacted locally when subjected to projectile penetration. It is necessary obtain more diagnostic information during the experiment develop a thorough understanding of deformation mechanisms inside target. In this study, we embedded piezoelectric film pressure gages at strategically distributed locations cylindrical targets. The designed measure only normal gage plane. calibrated using Kolsky bar before being into instrumented target then subject penetration by steel with semi-spherical nose. histories local positions. Flash X-rays installed around record instant images moving was found that penetration-induced concentrates projectile.
