摘要: People who seek happiness intentionally often do not get it. That is, as per the paradox of happiness, in order to be happy one should forget about it (Martin J Happiness Stud 9(2):171–184, 2008) and try make others happy. Given that, purpose present article is suggest a six-stage people-centric (rather than self-centric) theoretical model (sukha), which constructed using framework based on eminent ancient Indian texts—Hitopadeśa. The yet novel describes balanced path happiness. propounded indicates “knowledge” (vidyā) foremost antecedent only offers insights achieving integrated well-being moral philanthropic way, but also extends complex constructs perspectives realm studies psychology, could subsequently promote further research. Furthermore, proposed seems corroborate some modern theories.
