摘要: Abstract The quest for materials with molecular scale properties that can satisfy the demands of 21st century has led to development one dimensional nanostructures, ODNS. Nearly, every class traditional material an ODNS counterpart. a profound impact in nanoelectronics, nanodevices and systems, nanocomposite materials, alternative energy resources national security. interface nanoscience technology biological therapeutic sciences is expected radically improve ability provide efficient treatments otherwise impossible situations. Ironically, huge investment past few years across globe yet bring real benefit nanotechnology day life. While scientists engineers are working towards this goal, concerns about possible harmful effects high aspect ratio increasing day. Following effort assimilate most aforementioned aspects including entire gamut ODNS, i.e., elements, ceramics, polymers composites, brief discussion on CNT toxicology. focus article mainly science behind synthesis rather than device fabrication. However, challenges field fabrication mentioned appropriate contexts. Possible mechanisms evolution from various methods, such as vapor liquid solid (VLS), template based electrochemically induced growth, have been discussed detail. Electron microscopy analysis received special determining unique structural features. concludes by discussing current research related environment toxicology rapidly evolving field.
