摘要: A methodology to analyse the influence of erosion on beach functions at a regional scale is presented. The method considers hazards different timescales and assesses consequences by evaluating impacts recreation protection functions. To provide useful information decision makers for managing these functions, hazard are integrated municipal level within risk matrix. This applied Maresme, 45-km sandy coast situated northward Barcelona, which supports strong urban infrastructure development as well an intensive recreational use. Obtained results indicate differentiated implications along region, depending management target considered. Thus, southern municipalities more prone affecting function leisure use local population, whereas will have greater effect foreign tourism in northern municipalities. These highlight necessity employ articulated assessment focusing specific targets site question. can help coastal managers adopt tailored measures manage towards goals, efficient sustainable manner.
