摘要: Soil-structure interaction (SSI) could affect the seismic response of structures. Since liquid storage tanks are vital structures and must continue their operation under severe earthquakes, behavior should be studied. Accordingly, two types steel (namely, broad slender, with aspect ratios height to radius equal 0.6 1.85) founded on half-space soil is scrutinized different earthquake ground motions. For a better comparison, six considered motions classified, based pulse-like characteristics, into groups, named far near fault To model tanks, simplified mass-spring used modeled as lumped masses known sloshing impulsive, fluid structure using coupled springs dashpots. The SSI effect, also, spring dashpot. Additionally, four soils consider wide variety properties. this end, after deriving equations motion, MATLAB programming employed obtain time history responses. Results show that although effect leads decrease in impulsive displacement, overturning moment, normalized base shear, (or convective) displacement not affected by such effects due its long period.
