摘要: Bulk gold is chemically inert and generally regarded as a poor catalyst. However, when in very small particles with diameters below 10 nm deposited on metal oxides or activated carbon, it becomes surprisingly active, especially at low temperatures, for many reactions such CO oxidation propylene epoxidation. The catalytic performance of Au defined by three major factors: contact structure, support selection, particle size. role the perimeter interfaces sites discussed well change chemical reactivity clusters composed fewer than 300 atoms.
