摘要: Maintaining a clean water supply is one of the key challenges facing humanity today. Pollution, rising population, and climate change are just some factors putting increased pressure on limited resources. Contamination presents high risk to public health, security, environment; nevertheless, no adequate real-time methods exist detect wide range potential contaminants. There need for rapid, low-cost, multitarget systems quality monitoring. Information-rich, multivariate techniques such as vibrational spectroscopy have been proposed this purpose. The authors present developments in applications (near infrared, mid-infrared, Raman) monitoring over past 20 years, identify emerging technologies, discuss future challenges.
