In the body-wall ofArenicola marina changes of concentrations ATP, ADP and AMP, phosphotaurocyamine, succinate, acetate propionate, alanine aspartate were estimated during recovery following 24 h anoxia. The energy charge was calculated from adenylates. 2. After anoxia status which comprises concentration phosphotaurocyamine had decreased; acetate, propionate elevated, thus indicating an anaerobic state metabolism (Table 1). 3. Within 40 min after onset aerobic conditions adenylates showed typical (Fig. 1 A); replenished by 84% within C); about half succinate pool metabolized first 20 reached control levels to 2 B). 4.
