摘要: When drivers are approaching a signalized intersection at the onset of yellow change interval, they must decide whether to stop or cross intersection. This can be difficult decision when vehicle is located within dilemma zone and results sometimes rear-end crash due sudden stop. paper presented new pavement marking countermeasure which purpose reduce red –light running rate assist motorists with stop/go decisions. To test effectiveness pavement-marking countermeasure, this University Central Florida (UCF) driving simulator experiment designed collect information concerning drivers’ behavior during interval intersections 30 mph 45 speed limits, compare differences between scenarios without marking.
