摘要: Although the movements of many animals are in three spatial dimensions, a three-dimensional home range model has not been developed. We present based on an ellipsoid particular size (volume 95 percent confidence ellipsoid), shape (eigenvalues expressed as trace), and orientation (position orthogonal axes) space. Equations to determine Cartesian coordinates for points trivariate mean cloud developed, formula determining standardized distance use conjunction with behavioral data is presented. Because our depends normality data, it may be best applied analysis locational which move through relatively homogeneous media, concentrating their activities central place. The also partitioned according spatial, behavioral, or chronological criteria, way examining separate components range.
