摘要: Objective: To determined the prevalence of vitamin C deficiency (plasma concentrations less than 11.4 μmol/L) and depletion from to 28.4 in an outpatient population.Subjects Methods: A consecutive sample patients presenting at a health maintenance organization laboratory for procedures was utilized. Plasma were 350 females 144 males, aged 6 92 years (mean ± SD: 46.7 18.7 years).Results: The mean plasma concentration all subjects 32.4 13.6 μmol/L. Mean did not vary by sex, race, or fasted state.
