摘要: To investigate whether circulating endothelin-1 (Et-1) may be related to the increased incidence and severity of ischaemic heart disease in type 2 diabetes mellitus, we compared concentrations diabetic patients non-diabetic with coronary artery (CAD) angiographically documented. Plasma levels Et-1 were determined 34 CAD (16 stable angina, 6 unstable 12 previous myocardial infarction) 19 (4 5 10 infarction). Fifteen without 9 healthy volunteers served as control subjects. In patients, mean 3.19±1.61 pmol/l those 3.58±1.92 4.24±2.53 infarction. These values not significantly different one another, nor from obtained controls (3.64±2.13 pmol/l). 3.92±0.73 4.35±1.67 4.33±1.66 but higher than (2.07±0.67 pmol/l;P<0.001). No significant differences found between stable, angina contrast, a statistically difference was subjects (P<0.05). conclusion, similar raised infarction do support hypothesis that are responsible for mellitus. However, absence strongly suggest generalised endothelial dysfunction, documented our study by Et-1, most probably precedes subsequent cardiovascular diseases.
