Long-term effects of cancer treatment and consequences of cure: Cancer survivors enjoy quality of life similar to their neighbours

摘要: To assess the long-term effects of cancer treatment and consequences cure, 102 index cases were compared with 95 neighbourhood controls similar age sex 78 cardiac controls. The quality life experienced by these three groups was examined using multiple instruments proven psychometric properties. All major domains (physical, psychological social) covered. findings revealed that to their neighbours in areas subjective well-being. However, exhibited more sexual dysfunction, conscientious, determined emotionally disciplined, applied defence mechanisms displacement reaction formation often than older, anxious, conventional/less imaginative used suppression as a mechanism greater degree cases. In conclusion, young adult survivors enjoy neighbours, whereas coronary bypass adjust less well psychosocially.
