摘要: Abstract Local superfusion of limited dendritic areas with hypertonic or hyperkalemic solutions stimulates the release quanta from a small population synapses made on rodent hippocampal neurons maintained in primary culture, and each quantal event can be detected postsynaptic neuron. With stimulation, initial rate is about 20 per sec synapse, this declines exponentially to final low level. These observations interpreted as depletion available and, interpretation, bouton would contain one two dozen its readily releasable pool. Tests second application solution that produces reveal pool replenished time constant 10 (36 degrees C). The defined way may correspond vesicles docked at bouton's active zone.
