摘要: The Q of a crystal is limited by several different mechanisms including the properties quartz itself. In as-grown at high temperatures alkali ions associated with substitutional aluminum thermally escape from their interstitial site and drift in Z-axis channel. These free cause activated loss. swept have been replaced hydrogen which bonds to one oxygen atoms adjacent aluminum. resulting Al-OH center causes traditional loss peak about 600 K 5 MHz crystals. We are process comparing Li/sup +/ Na/sup ionloss AT-cut, BT-cut, SC-cut resonators. comparison being made between 3rd blanks taken single bar Toyo SQ-grade that has 8-10 ppm AT-cut BT-cut 10 crystals Motorola 10-12 also included study. original were electrodiffused +/, or ensure presence only. species ion. free-ion due consistently greater than Na+. for AT-cuts, BT-cuts, then SC-cuts (c-mode) both +/. expected 50% frequency-related reduction was observed However, significantly larger normally operated on slow c-mode but can be run faster b-mode. Both b-mode appears nearly same as c-mode. blank showed largest peak, next largest, followed (b-mode) smallest.
