摘要: Socio-economic impact assessments (SEIA) are an essential step in identifying and evaluating the potential direct or indirect impacts of proposed economic developments, programs, projects on communities. A SEIA provides a framework to address changing demo- graphics services infrastructure, structures including employment business opportunities, quality life, overall health well-being population, cultural values community. Communities that host rapid industrial development often follow predictable trajectory development, operational stability, industry decline. This cycle known as "boom bust" has significant implications sustainability With British Columbia cusp sig - nificant Health Officers Council (HOC) partnership with Northern Health, hosted collaborative workshop strategize about addressing socio-economic developments Through open dialogue, collectively group identified key strategies supporting communities maximize benefits while mitigating potentially negative impacts.
