摘要: Previous research on humans and animals suggests that the analysis of sleep patterns may reliably inform us about welfare status, but little this kind has been carried out for non-human in an applied context. This study explored use resting behaviour as indicators by describing activity dogs (Canis lupus familiaris) housed rescue shelters, comparing their to other behavioural cognitive measures welfare. Sleep were observed over five non-consecutive days a population 15 dogs. Subsequently, characteristics described impact analysed. Shelter slept 2.8% day, 14.3% less than previously reported experienced fragmentation at night (32 bouts). There no statistically significant relationships between behaviours exhibited during day behaviour. A higher proportion daytime was significantly associated with positive judgement bias, repetitive increased time spent coded 'relaxed' across shelter staff. These results suggest that, context busy environment, ability rest more could be sign improved Considering non-linear relationship humans, welfare, including complex detect.
