Incorporation of Probabilistic Concepts Into Fatigue Analysis of Ultrathin Whitetopping as Developed for the American Concrete Pavement Association

摘要: Fatigue analysis for the design of ultrathin whitetopping (UTW) pavements as used in procedures published by ACPA is based on fatigue models that have been existence pavement decades. The underlying assumptions result an unstated, conservative factor safety all UTW designs developed using procedure. Checking performance projects against calculations reflects this conservatism. Recent efforts revision existing to incorporate probabilistic concepts are reviewed and approximate comparisons made with several constructed Illinois a base reference revised models. Possible extension into thicker also discussed.
