摘要: Abstract Space needs to be taken into account in vegetation dynamics models which deal with heterogeneous systems. Most landscapes, at a given scale, are mosaics of relatively homogeneous patches. Some patches act as sources energy, matter or individuals, others sinks. The each patch depends partly on the flows relate it its neighbours. Simulating functioning these systems lead combine, same model, within-patch dynamics, ecotone and interactions between flows. model TLALOC uses principles simulate two-patch system from an arid zone clearly depend surface water In m2 transect perpendicular ecotone, both functional (water carbon budgets) processes (recruitment survival) were simulated. Despite simplifications, satisfactorily modelled studied vegetation. It highlighted importance considering various temporal spatial scales possible consequences including even larger landscape.
