摘要: In Between Facts and Norms Habermas both accepts the place of distinctively ethical considerations about ‘the good’ in political deliberation, advances a particular view nature justification judgments. Whilst welcoming former, this paper criticises latter, with its focus on issues identity self-understanding, suggests instead broadly Aristotelian alternative. The argument proceeds, first, through detailed engagement Habermas’s theoretical claims reasoning politics, which it is argued that he fails to show how different possibilities can be critically evaluated, second, analysis practical example, choice being made between kinds capitalism.
