House-dust mite (Der p 1, Der f 1) cat (Fel d allergen contents determined by mab ELISA, the levels related to various environmental factors. Both antigens detected 94% all homes, but low range 15 ng-1944 ng/g fine dust; 14 ng-264 Fel 16 ng-3120 dust). Mite-allergen significantly higher (P < 0.001) than carpets, D. pteronyssinus predominated. In contrast, antigen 0.05) carpets dust. There was no clear relation between mite-allergen type house, except that values found dampness problems. Cat-allergen total content, highest 0.05). Rather high concentrations also without cat, which may explain why sensitization is so common Sweden. As prevalence house-dust sensitivity increasing children, as individual patient threshold for eliciting symptoms varies, we suggest possibly occur at lower exposure level generally accepted risk (2 micrograms/g
