摘要: In spite of their rarity, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) represent a complex clinical problem, mainly diagnostic and therapeutic, for unpredictable biological course long-term prognosis, the most involved site being stomach. Although great number tyrosine-kinase inhibitors has been developed blocking proliferative pathways (constitutive CD117 PDGFRa activation), surgical treatment still remains only curative one. Nevertheless, particular non-lymphatic spread tendency to peritoneal seeding have emphasized technical issues that are greatly debated. The definition best procedure aiming at complete R0 resection tumor changed in recent years and, with improvement laparoscopic techniques, minimally invasive approach gastric GIST become feasible cases. this paper we present our experience on 43 GISTs observed from 2001 2008 taken case study (75 patients 1994). risk class, follow-up (mean 36 months) analyzed. All underwent procedure; 10 them were also treated molecular as adjuvant treatment. Overall survival 60 months was 89.3%, disease-free 87.68%.
