摘要: [1] This work presents an estimate of anthropogenic CO2 in the Pacific Ocean based on measurements from WOCE/JGOFS/OACES global survey. These estimates used a modified version ΔC* technique. Modifications include revised preformed alkalinity term, correction for denitrification, and evaluation disequilibrium terms using optimum multiparameter analysis. The total inventory over area 120°E to 70°W 70°S 65°N (excluding South China Sea, Yellow Japan/East Sea Okhotsk) was 44.5 ± 5 Pg C 1994. Approximately 28 located Southern Hemisphere 16.5 north equator. deepest penetration is found at about 50°S. shallowest just Very shallow also generally observed high-latitude Ocean. One exception this far southwestern where there evidence northward moving bottom waters. In North strong zonal gradient depth with western Pacific. has largest all southern latitudes despite fact that it lowest average when normalized unit area. lack deep water formation means inventories are smaller than Atlantic.
