摘要: UNLABELLED The Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE) provides a standardized measure to assess the knowledge of orthopaedic residents regarding knee reconstruction surgery. However, there currently are limited resources for who preparing questions on OITE. present study assessed character tested and which literature may be recommended this examination. MATERIALS AND METHODS All reconstruction-related found during 5-year period (2002 2006) OITE were characterized by diagnosis treatment discussed. most frequently referenced journals identified from exam key. was compared in terms overall proportion articles that related reconstruction, as well categories modality. RESULTS There 59 out 1375 (4%) over 5 years reconstruction. Over half (54%) primary total arthroplasty, with osteoarthritis being (30%). top three Journal Bone Joint Surgery-American, Clinical Orthopaedics Related Research, Arthroplasty. Compared OITE, these covered higher percentages (18% versus 4%). In addition, journal had greater focus modalities (65% 41%) less emphasis biomechanics, materials, basic science 34%) than respectively. two cited textbooks represented approximately 78% number provided textbook references: Knowledge Update (39%) Instructional Course Lectures (39%). DISCUSSION results suggest benefit using general such Surgery-American preparation residency directors their educational programs should aware clinical not refect biomechanics additional necessary.
