摘要: TMF/ARA160 is a Golgi resident protein whose cellular functions have not been conclusively revealed. Herein we show that can direct the proteasomal degradation of key cell growth regulator - Stat3. was dispersed in cytoplasm myogenic C2C12 cells were grown under low-serum conditions. The cytoplasmic distribution accompanied by its transient association with tyrosine kinase Fer and Stat3, which underwent those Moreover, serum deprivation induced ubiquitinated proteins, complex. However, did bind Stat1, levels increased serum-starved cells. Amino-acid sequence analysis identified BC-box element mediated binding this to elongin C. Ectopic expression drove ubiquitination an effect caused devoid motif. Thus, apparatus harbors novel BC-box-containing Stat3 degradation. Interestingly, level significantly decreased malignant brain tumors, implying suppressive role tumor progression.
