Construction of a neonatal cortical surface atlas using multimodal surface matching

摘要: In this paper we propose a method for constructing spatiotemporal cortical surface atlas of neonatal brains aged between 38 and 42 weeks gestation at the time scan. The is based on spherical registration approach: multimodal matching (MSM) registration, where folding patterns were used to drive alignment. Cortical surfaces from 44 subjects projected onto spheres grouped into 5 weeks, with all within each group co-registered using pairwise MSM in order avoid bias towards any subjects. Finally, warps anatomical allow averaging white matter surfaces, metrics, template space. Our approach improves sharpness templates what can be achieved affine alignment alone.
