摘要: Bone lesions as a consequence of bone metastases in breast cancer patients can increase risk for skeletal-related events (SREs) (i.e., radiation to the bone, pathological or osteoporotic fracture event, hypercalcemia, spinal cord compression, surgery bone). The mortality with SREs subsequent is unclear. We assessed this relationship large, population-based cohort Denmark. identified 35,912 newly diagnosed from January 1, 1999 December 31, 2007 Danish National Patient Registry (DNPR) and followed them through April 2008. Information on stage treatment was obtained Cancer Registry. used Kaplan–Meier method estimate survival, Cox’s regression analysis rate ratio (MRR) by presence without SREs, adjusting age comorbidity. 5-year survival 75.8% metastases, 8.3% 2.5% those both SREs. adjusted MRR 10.5 [95% confidence interval (CI) 9.5–11.6] 14.4 (95% CI 13.1–15.8) compared no but possibly other sites metastases. A similar pattern persisted when analyses were stratified treatment. Breast have poor prognosis regardless disease at diagnosis.
