摘要: We found that a calix[4]arene-bearing pyridine is soluble in typical room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL), 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate. Pyridinocalix[4]arene showed high extraction ability and selectivity for silver ions. The performance of the calix[4]arene was greatly enhanced by dissolution RTILs compared to chloroform. In competitive test using five different metal ions (Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Ni2+), only were transferred from aqueous feed phase into RTILs, through cation-exchange mechanism. pyridinocalix[4]arene form stable 1:1 complex with ions, both slope analysis Job's method. Since it easy strip controlling aqueous-phase pH, maintained after repeated uses.
