摘要: PURPOSE To quantitatively assess the effectiveness of urotherapy for children with daytime urinary incontinence, according to definitions International Children's Continence Society. MATERIAL AND METHODS We performed a retrospective review 122 (age: mean 9, range 5-14 yrs) treated in an outpatient program lower tract dysfunction. Exclusion criteria were neurologic abnormalities. Therapy is based on cure regulate fluid intake and voiding frequency, increase maximum voided volume once normal pattern was obtained. In 98/122 (80%) incontinence present as predominant symptom 42/98 cases (43%) combined history recurrent UTI's. given by experienced nurse practitioner consisted individually adapted drinking schedule, pelvic floor relaxation, instructions toilet behavior, biofeedback uroflowmetry if necessary recommendations regular defecation made. All patients received personal monitoring booklet. Before at end training evaluated number severity wet accidents per week. used scoring system grade incontinence. RESULTS Using ICCS treatment outcome, success rate determined: all 78% responded urotherapy: 38 (42%) had full response: they became dry during daytime, 8 (9%) showed good response, 24 (27%) partial 20 (22%) no response objective data missing after training. Additional benefit evident improvement accompanying symptoms, such frequency flow pattern. CONCLUSIONS Urotherapy successful children, our intensive protocol. Further study towards long-term efficacy will be performed.
