摘要: Optical tuning of lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles has attracted considerable attention over the past decade because this development allows advance new frontiers in energy conversion, materials science, and biological imaging. Here we present a rational approach to manipulating spectral profile lifetime lanthanide emission by tailoring their nonlinear optical properties. We demonstrate that incorporation distributors, such as surface defects or an extra amount dopants, into rare-earth-based host lattice alters decay behavior excited sensitizers, thus markedly improving emitters’ sensitivity excitation power. This work provides insight mechanistic understanding phenomena also enables exciting opportunities using these nanomaterials for photonic applications.
