摘要: Sikkim is a well known treasure trove and hotspot of biodiversity with most its macro fauna flora documented over the last two centuries. The ethnic populace living in remoter areas state relies on an intimate knowledge local bio-resources for their survival harsh high altitude environment. Over time this has been seen as only means survival. Lack any systematic documentation written form reliance oral tradition along recent development modernization activities leading to irretrievable loss ancient wisdom. Studies three short projects North document some biogeographic history including traditional methods wildlife conservation subsistence lifestyles among truly nomadic Dokpas cold desert partially trans-humant Bhutia tribals Lachen Lachung valleys, who practice Dzumsa system administration were conducted.
