摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes that multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disabling disease caused by multi-focal demyelination in the central nervous system (CNS). The characterized widespread focal lesions CNS of inflammatory and neurodegenerative nature, present with variety neurological symptoms disseminated time localization. It reviews characteristic are found everywhere preference for periventricular white matter, brain stem spinal cord, particularly dorsal columns. clinical picture includes motor weakness associated spasticity, sensory disturbances, ocular symptoms, bladder bowel dysfunction, vestibular more vague such as pain, fatigue, sleep disorder. Pain has not always been considered common symptom MS disease. concludes at present, no curative treatment available, it therefore important to recognize accompanying complicating provide optimal sufficient care patients. Treatment various pain conditions should be prominent part these efforts.
