摘要: Abstract Diverse approaches are being made in search of a visible-light active TiO2 photocatalysts. In this study, S-TiO2(x) nanocatalysts with x = 2, 4 and 6 (x = S/Ti molar ratio) were synthesized by sol–gel method V2O5/S-TiO2(x) nanocomposites wet impregnation using ammonium metavanadate as source vanadium. The catalysts characterized diffuse reflectance UV–vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman N2 adsorption desorption studies, photoelectron Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy high resolution transmission electron microscopy techniques. photogenerated reactive species OH radical estimated from photoluminescence spectra was directly correlated to the absorption catalyst. photocatalytic activities all evaluated for degradation MB under visible light irradiation. excellent stability has been revealed linear relationship between fluorescence intensity time. addition sulfur V2O5 significantly enhanced activity modifying optical electronic properties TiO2. attributed efficient charge separation due migration carriers S-TiO2 V2O5.
