摘要: The integrity of connective tissues surrounding dental implants may be influenced by a balance between matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and tissue inhibitors (TIMPs). purpose this study was to provide an overall assessment TIMP-1, MMP-1 -8 levels as well collagenase activities during the wound healing process after implantation in peri-implantitis lesions. Peri-implant crevicular fluid (PICF) sampled with sterile paper strips from 10 osseointegrated 6 subjects. Ten patients affected were also assessed. Gingival (GCF) 11 periodontitis-affected healthy volunteers served controls. TIMP-1 protein PICF measured ELISA, active APMA-activatable determined functional assays using image-analysis SDS-PAGE. experiment showed significant increase level at 1 week compared that GCF periodontium. Four weeks it had reached same data has disclosed higher post-implantation activity than 2, 4, 12. This due -8. Furthermore, periodontitis shown similar inflammatory lesions respect activities, even though TIMP-1/MMP-1+MMP-8 ratio significantly lower periodontitis. In conclusion, over-production area could, some extent, inhibit excessive destruction degradation neo-matrix repair MMPs.
