摘要: Epithelial gene expression in the lung is thought to be regulated by coordinate activity of several different families transcription factors including Fox family winged-helix/forkhead DNA-binding proteins. In this report, we have identified and characterized two members family, Foxp1 Foxp2, show that they comprise a new subfamily genes expressed lung. Foxp2 are at high levels as early E12.5 mouse development with restricted airway epithelium. addition, lower neural, intestinal, cardiovascular tissues during development. Upon differentiation epithelium along proximal-distal axis, becomes distal alveolar whereas observed mesenchyme. can regulate epithelial was demonstrated their ability dramatically repress CC10 promoter and, lesser extent, human surfactant protein C promoter. GAL4 fusion proteins encoding subdomains demonstrate an independent homologous transcriptional repression domain lies within N-terminal end Together, these studies suggest important regulators transcription.
