摘要: Endovascular repair is now a recognised procedure for treating abdominal aortic aneurysms. However, post-operative complications such as stent graft migration and thrombus may still occur. To assess these numerically, the correct input boundary conditions, which include full human aorta with associated branching, should be included. Four patient-specific computed tomography scanned bifurcated grafts (SGs) were modelled attached onto aorta, included ascending, arch descending aortas. Two of SG geometries had twisted leg configuration, while other two conventional nontwisted configurations. Computational fluid dynamics was completed both hemodynamics assessed. The complexity flow patterns secondary flows influenced by inclusion at proximal section. During decelerating phase significant recirculations occurred along main body all did not impact velocity contours within distal legs there no difference in drag forces containing those without. A configuration further promoted spiral formation its legs.
