摘要: An apparatus and method for performing Mobile/IP handoff between different access technologies. Associated with each technology are two thresholds, a Low Water Mark High Mark. The uses these water marks to its selection in particular environment. Using the method, mobile node 102 remains on preferred network when signal strength (interface) is above low mark. When drops below high mark, calculates mark network. (LWM), initiates next available that meets certain conditions. back measurement again
