摘要: We investigate the extraordinary optical transmission (EOT) properties of nanohole arrays with a rectangular lattice for label-free refractive index sensing applications. show that deviation within periodicities along two axes at plane leads to more advantageous spectral quality EOT signal compared conventional square geometries. introduce way further improve sensitivity aperture system by carefully choosing periodicities. supporting signals larger figure-of-merit values as well enabling much stronger light transmission. also model covered thin dielectric layer, mimicking biomolecules captured on gold surface, in order its biosensing capability. certain amounts between create splitting leading shifts presence film.
