摘要: Sensitive periods for song acquisition by male swamp sparrows in the first year of life were compared, using two types training protocol: 1) with tape-recorded songs and, 2) exposure to live singing tutors. Subjects exposed a range tutors and tape recordings on regularly changing schedules. Singing was recorded, time determined occurrence imitations particular models. The results obtained tape- live-tutoring very similar. In both cases most learning occurred prior 45–55 days age. Some as late 250–300
