Vacuum energy sequestering and conformal symmetry

摘要: In a series of recent papers Kaloper and Padilla proposed mechanism to sequester standard model vacuum contributions the cosmological constant. We study consequences embedding their proposal into fully local quantum theory. original work, bare constant $\Lambda$ scaling parameter $\lambda$ are introduced as global fields. find that in case resulting Lagrangian is spontaneously broken conformal field theory where plays role dilaton. A vanishing or small thus consequence underlying structure.
