摘要: A structure provides a gradient field useful in magnetic resonance imaging. Axially aligned, solenoidal-like coils are symmetrically distributed around the perimeter of bore superconducting magnet an MRI system so as to produce transverse gradients X and Y directions with exceptionally high efficiency low acoustic noise. Opposed solenoidal endcoils may be added reduce axial flux leakage by generating quadrupolar field. Radially aligned positioned near each end adding form resulting octopolar Typically, solenoid-like have mean radius about 15% that imaging ellipsoidal region. thick-walled stainless steel, copper resin cylinder used simplify shielding problems. Silver plated bronze or steel sheet is rf shield.
